Dashboard Guide

A walkthrough of the LiteStats dashboard and what each metric means.

Overview page

When you sign in, you land on the Overview page. This shows all your tracked sites at a glance with a sparkline chart and the total page views for the current period. Click any site card to go to its full dashboard.

Summary tiles

At the top of each site's dashboard you'll see key metrics:

  • Page Views — total number of pages viewed in the selected time range
  • Unique Visitors — unique sessions (based on session ID, not cookies)
  • Bounce Rate — percentage of sessions that only viewed a single page
  • Average Session Duration — how long visitors spend on your site on average
  • Live Visitors — number of active sessions right now (shown as a green dot)

Trends chart

The line chart below the summary tiles shows your selected metrics over time. Click a summary tile to toggle that metric on or off in the chart. The time granularity adjusts automatically based on your date range:

  • Today / Yesterday — hourly buckets
  • Last 7 Days — daily buckets
  • Last 30 Days — daily buckets
  • Last 12 Months — monthly buckets

Metrics breakdown

Below the chart, you'll find panels that break down your traffic by different dimensions:

Pages

Shows which pages get the most views. Tabs let you switch between All Pages,Entry Pages (where visitors land), and Exit Pages (where they leave).

Referrers

Where your traffic comes from. Includes a UTM Source tab if you use UTM parameters in your campaign URLs.

Countries

Geographic breakdown of your visitors based on the IP-to-country lookup (the IP itself is never stored).

Browsers

Which browsers your visitors use — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.

Devices & OS

Split between Device type (Desktop, Mobile, Tablet) and Operating System(Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Linux, etc.).

UTM Campaigns

If you tag your URLs with UTM parameters, this panel shows breakdowns by Campaign, Medium, and Term.

Filtering

Click any row in a metrics panel to filter the entire dashboard by that value. For example, clicking "Firefox" in the browsers panel will show only data from Firefox visitors across all panels and the chart. Click again to remove the filter.

Date ranges

Use the date selector in the top-right corner to switch between preset time ranges:

  • Today
  • Yesterday
  • Last 7 Days
  • Last 30 Days
  • Last 90 Days
  • This Month
  • Previous Month
  • Last 12 Months
  • Year to Date
  • All Time

All date ranges respect your local timezone so "Today" always means today in your timezone.

Percentages vs. counts

Click the user icon in the top-right and toggle Show Percentages to switch between absolute visitor counts and percentage breakdowns in all metric panels.
