Why we built LiteStats

Google Analytics is powerful, but it comes with baggage: cookie consent banners, complex setup, GDPR headaches, and a business model built on advertising data. We wanted something simpler.

LiteStats was built from the ground up as a lightweight alternative that respects privacy by default. No cookies, no personal data, no consent banners required. Just clean, useful analytics delivered through a single script tag that adds virtually zero load time to your site.

How it works

LiteStats uses a cookieless, session-based approach to count pageviews and visitors. We don't use cookies, fingerprinting, or any form of persistent cross-site tracking. Your visitors remain anonymous and your site stays fully compliant with GDPR, PECR, CCPA, and ePrivacy regulations — no consent banner needed.

All analytics data is stored on servers hosted by Hetzner in Germany, within the EU. We use ClickHouse for fast, efficient data processing and never share or sell data to third parties.

Built in Ireland

LiteStats is an independent, bootstrapped business based in Ireland. We're focused on building a sustainable product that serves our customers, not advertisers. Every feature decision is driven by what helps site owners understand their traffic while respecting the people behind it.
